Wargaming.net are doing their bit to spread a bit of post-Christmas festive cheer as the award-winning developers behind World of Tanks, World of Warplanes and World of Battleships reveal their new Gift Cards for Gold event.
World of Tanks players that still have unwanted gift cards from the Christmas period now have the opportunity to turn them in – in exchange for some in-game World of Tanks gold. Gift cards from Best Buy, Target, Old Navy and California Pizza Kitchen can be exchanged thanks to a new partnership between Wargaming and Paygarden, allowing all U.S gift cards to be exchanged.
There is however a catch. The supported retail outlet gift cards can only be redeemed if they are within the value range of $10 to $5,000. Can you imagine opening a card to watch a $5,000 California Pizza Kitchen voucher float to the floor?
Players are free to use any gold they receive to spend as normal, purchasing a variety of in-game tanks, upgrades and other improvements.
