Vindictus is a fast paced MMORPG with gorgeous graphics. Players will fight their way through the Celtic themed world, deep in lore and well translated dialogue. Even though Vindictus is an older game, it still is going strong and continuing to be updated on a regular basis. This brawler MMORPG challenges players through stages in bursts of action-packed brutality. Vindictus has addicting gameplay, and best of all it is free!
Gameplay
Players pick from 6 characters:
Vella – A versatile character who mixes equal measures of offense and defense to deal damage and leap across the battlefield, escaping enemy attacks without a scratch.
Lann – Quick offensive character who wields dual swords.
Fiona – Defensive character that can block with her shield and perform powerful counter attacks.
Evie – A female mage who has access to a variety of offensive and supportive spells.
Karok – A giant who can swing large objects to crush opponents.
Kai – An archer who is in tune with nature.
After choosing one of the characters you can make it your own, with different aesthetic changes, which do not include gender. Basically you can only change hair style/color, eye/skin color, how your eyebrows are colored and shaped, and body shape. Height will affect your combat. If you are taller you are slower but have a farther reach; the same is true if you are shorter, but vice versa (faster but shorter reach). You won’t look exactly like everyone else (like Elsword), but still pretty similar; especially considering, each character basically represents your class as well.
Questing is story drive, like most other MMORPGs. Most missions you can find inside buildings, which is where NPCs tend to reside. It is relatively easy to find your next mission, due to the yellow or red bubbles on the mini-map. Once you have your next mission, you can choose (from a board) to go into an instance, which are replayable.
Vindictus is an action-packed game with a slasher feel. Dodging is pretty useless against the smaller minions, but when you face the level bosses it can mean the difference between victory and defeat (unless you play a rangy character that can stay out of the line of fire).
Players can also interact with the environment, picking up various objects to throw at the enemy or use as a weapon; in fact, after defeating a boss, you can pick up his body and throw it at his minions to wipe them out. At the end of a boss fight, you can choose to save screenshots from the battle, giving height to the heroic end of your enemy.
Atmosphere
The graphics are pretty amazing for a free-to-play title. The realistic 3D graphics are basically the same from cut scene to gameplay; however, when you enter a building, the graphic style feels completely different from the rest of the game. Characters won’t walk around inside buildings; instead, they are confronted with a screen in which NPCs line up on the bottom. When you click on them their 2 dimensional profiles will take up the screen, giving you the information you need.

Vindictus is an action packed MMORPG that reminds me of Elsword Online, but with better graphics and slightly more customization. The combat is heroic and engaging.
