Global publisher and distributor of online interactive online entertainment media (for the record), GBE Games, has recently announced that it will soon be launching an all-new Election System, ultimately giving players the opportunity to reign as the one and true King, first of his name, in the uber-popular fantasy MMORPG, The Aurora World.

Ultimately, this unique and refreshing new main game feature will allow players to literally campaign for other in-game players votes in the hopes of becoming the officially (and democratically, mind you) elected King of the game. Granted, each King will only reign for a month, but still, it’s pretty cool, no? Although, one gets the feeling that a torrent of spam requests of epic proportions is about to released upon the world…

While the odds of you, our fine and treasured reader, becoming King (or Queen) is ultimately very small, GBE Games’ main goal in announcing this new feature via a massive press release is to inspire you, as a fine and treasured player within The Aurora World, to get out there and vote. Sounds familiar, doesn’t it?

In the end, all nit-pickings aside, it’s features like this that are truly and justly needed within the MMORPG world, which has unfortunately become a stale, custom-tailored, cookie cutter game feature industry. So good on you GBE Games! If only more MMO — and just video games in general, really — publishers were like you, the world would be a much more entertaining and less-monotonous place.
