Despite the efforts of Kabam, Imperium Galactic War will be closing all servers permanently on November 4, 2013. Kabam answered a few questions that might be burning in the back of the minds of Imperium’s fan base.

Why did Imperium Shutdown?

“While Imperium: Galactic War was enjoyed by a great community of players, the game just wasn’t as successful as we had hoped and the decision was made to discontinue support for the game.”

When is the last day Imperium  can be played?

“You’ll be able to play Imperium: Galactic War until 9AM Pacific Time on November 4, 2013.”

Why can’t Kabam leave the game up, as is?

“There are number of things that go into maintaining a game beyond keeping the power running. Addressing issues, developing content and providing support are important components as well, and we feel those resources can be better served building and supporting Kabam’s existing and new titles.”

Will this affect other Kabam games?

“No other Kabam titles are affected by this closure.”

Is there a way to save player data or bases?

“There won’t be a way to access your data from the game’s servers after they go offline. We suggest you take screenshots of your accomplishments before November 4, 2013.”

Imperium Galactic War WAS.. a Very enjoyable Game. As there are many many..too Many Games to play. There Exists only a Few in the Theme of SPACE.. that Play well, Rewards are not so Time consuming to receive and Battle among the Same Factions can NOT be ensued. As I play other SPACE based Games, I enjoy IGW, I stopped playing the others and played IGW till the last few hours.. I know it will be Sorely missed by many. It was hoped someone would purchase the Game and let us Start over. Being that I found this game only by accident and played it after the issue of ShutDown was announced, I feel it Continues to Be a Well Developed, easy for all ages to Enjoy. I will keep searching for its RETURN..
