Evil is lurking, get ready for Fear. Aeria Games has released the full website for F.E.A.R Online, the latest horror FPS game from the F.E.A.R franchise. The title has been developed by Korean company, Inplay Interactive and licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Aeria Games has been chosen as the publisher for the North American and United Kingdom regions.
F.E.A.R Online will have players immerse themselves in the story of Alma Wade as they search for the reason behind her destructive powers. Tensions will rise as the F.E.A.R task force investigates Armacham Technology Corporation’s unsettling experiences. Players will have to choose between the F.E.A.R soldiers and ATC security personal for competitive team combat in an all out war. Fans of the series should keep an eye out for returning characters from the previous games, such as the protagonists Point Man and Michael Beckett.
In addition to popular offerings, such as team deathmatch and demolition, which seem to be just about mandatory these days several unique modes will be available for fans. Soul King mode will return from F.E.A.R. 3, where players will command an apparition that can posssess enemy NPCs and use their weapons and abilities against their opponents. For veterans of the game, Escape mode should be familiar to you, challenging players to work together against time as they race away from a looming wall of fiery death. We’ll also see a new mode, Armored Front, which will be a battle to control strategic points with the added twist of a single powerful mech armor available to each team.
