Combining physics based game play, action RPG elements, and a stunning voxel fantasy story book graphical treatment, “Castle Breakers” was originally intended for mobile platform, but now switches gear towards PC fans, in hopes of saving the project from disaster. The game’s Kickstarter campaign began disappointingly, Alan Noon of Black Black Beast, LLC discussed what happened, and what they intend to do.

Noon said, “After this week’s disappointing start, I took a hard look at the data, listened to the feedback coming in, and sought out  perspective from other developers and Kickstarter alums. Mistakes were made. A number of issues have been identified. Due to the nature of the Kickstarter system, some are more easily addressed on the fly than others. As such, I believe the best course of action will be to cancel the Kickstarter currently underway, and relaunch early next week.”

He went on to say, “I believe the game itself is solid; it has been very well received online. Those that have played the prototype have enjoyed the imaginative spin on the classic game play, and the visuals have received considerable praise. I aim to eliminate some points of confusion and get a few more eyeballs on the project.”

Developers plan on revamping the campaign, including specifying the pre-order tier, clarifying the rewards, and tightening up the project description. The new Kickstarter campaign should be up by the first of October. They also hope to have a playable prototype by the end of this week.  Watch the “Castle Breakers” video
