Black Desert Online Is On Its Way to North America and Europe

Black Desert, the widely popular Korean fantasy-based MMORPG will be making its way to the west in the near future. Details regarding the upcoming title are still scarce at the moment but we do know that the game will be called “Black Desert Online” and it will differ in some ways from its Russian and Korean counterparts. Firstly, the game will not be free-to-play and will instead be released as a buy-to-play game more inline with the ESO and Guild Wars payment model. For those who are not already familiar with a title, a new trailer for the game has been released:

To support continued development and general maintenance, in-game items will be sold for real world money. Additionally, game balancing in the Western version will be slightly altered as will how players progress and make their way through the game. The release date for Black Desert Online has yet to be established but it is expected that a closed alpha test is set to kick off in the very near future.
