Fans of the old school approach to online shooting games will be happy to hear that developers REAKKTOR Studios are hoping to return the genre to its former glory with the Early Access release of the highly anticipated, TOXIKK. Inspired by the more popular shooting games from the 1990s and early 2000s, TOXIKK is a science-fiction/near-future themed online shooting game that removes all the unnecessary fluff surrounding today’s top shooting titles, delivering players a barebone FPS experience.
Forget the likes of Call of Duty and Battlefield. There aren’t any levels in TOXIKK, there’s no character progression or regenerating health, no cover system, no classes and no customization options for characters or weapons. TOXIKK is the FPS game that pays homage to the titles that defined the genre.
Instead of all the unnecessary clutter players can expect a fast and fluid FPS experience with highly customizable controls, dodge jumping, nine powerful weapons and more booster pick-ups than a night of Mario Kart.
