Another MOBA Falls Victim To Genre Saturation

The MOBA genre has gone from strength to strength in recent years but despite its growing popularity many developers have failed to capture its audience. The latest victim of this is Transformers Universe, a free-to-play MOBA inspired MMO from Jagex and Hasbro.

The developers have already begun deploying updates ahead of the games closing, removing the ability for players to make premium in-game transactions such as Relic & Starter Packs.

“We’re hugely disappointed, but the game will be closing over the coming weeks before its full closure at 10am GMT on 31st January 2015.”

As a team, we can’t thank players enough for the support that they have shown us over the last few years of development, and even more so during our BETA period.
